So Many Boxes

There are currently far too many boxes in my life.  Not to worry, though – they’ll all be gone by Monday because that’s when the box rental company is coming to pick them up.  With any luck we’ll have emptied them by then, although ‘putting things in their proper place’ is a stage we may not reach immediately after said emptying.

So yes, we have moved.  It’s official.  The keys from the old house are back with the real estate agents and we are no longer renters.  Here is a handy list of how that feels:

This Week

If you asked me to tell you what the past week has been about, I would probably say ‘knitting’.  Or, more likely, KNITTING OH MY GOODNESS IT NEVER ENDED.  And even though the knitting was worked in amongst some pretty awesome other things, it was always there.  Always sitting there, with its deadline lingering somewhere close.

But I am here to tell you that I met that deadline.  In fact, I took it by surprise and arrived a day early, which is always irritating to every host who is not expecting you for twenty-four hours and is still in the middle of preparations.  Alas, I did not care, as I had finished my dad’s present and now had some free time in which to revel in this joyous feeling.

New Old Things

There were various ways I planned to start this post.  Exciting stories of how I used to write mostly text-based entries.  My old life on LiveJournal.  The revelation that I wasn’t actually born with a DSLR surgically attached to my hands.

And yet, here I am, refusing to accept various irrefutable facts.  How can it be a week since I last posted?  I know I discussed the problem of time passing more quickly than is legally mandated in a previous post, but that was mostly a joke.

Seriously, a week?

It’s probably time I got over that and moved on to the true point of this post. Continue reading
